June 7th Ride.
The "Wild Goats" or "Old Farts" as Mano likes to be referred to took a little ride and made a loop up into KY on Saturday, June 7th. We started out with breakfast at the Coffee Cup in McKenzie and headed north on 79 to Paris Landing, where we stopped for a break and had an unexpected meet up with Ed, a biker from around home. He decided to join the ride and we left for Dover, just past Dover we took the Bumpus Mills road north to 164 east and then to 68 east to LBL highway 453 north to Grand Rivers and had a late lunch at Mr. Bills. Then it was south on 68 to Aurora and then 80 and 641 over to Murray and down to 140 at Puryear. 140 south is a well maintained road with good sweeps and a few twisties, right about where 140/69 branch there is a little country tavern called Sandy's where we stopped for a game of billiards and a cold drink. On the road again and we were back to McKenzie by 6:30, several miles in around 10 hours but the time flies by fast when you're having fun.
Until the next time, rubber side down and watch for the idiots with cellphones stuck to their head 'cause they sure ain't watching for you!
Larry....
