April 24th & 25th 2009

After leaving Savannah we headed east to Collenswood and got on the Natchez Trace Parkway and went south to near Florence, AL before turning eastward again. We rode the backroads in Alabama for several miles and decided to head north east and go to Lynchburg, TN for the night. We arrived in Lynchburg right before dark and had a great supper at a local restaurant. The next morning we went downtown for breakfast at the Lynchburg Cafe on the square, then over to the Jack Daniels distillery for a guided tour. We left Lynchburg right before noon and headed back home up Hwy. 129 over to Hwy. 31 and up to Columbia where we hit 412 over to 69 at Parsons and then 192 through Holliday over to Sawyers Mill and out at Bruceton over to Huntingdon where we all split for home.

Great ride and great weather and lots of fun with some great guys, you never know what's next with this bunch, always some practical jokes and kidding going on. Looking forward to our "Spring Fling" ride in a few weeks, where to? Who knows, who cares, it's the ride not the destination.
